Embark on a 2-day adventure to Mount Toubkal, the highest summit in the Atlas Mountains, reaching 4,167 meters (13,671 feet). This trek is perfect for those seeking a breathtaking mountain experience. The journey begins with a scenic drive from Marrakech to the Berber village of Imlil, nestled in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains.
This trek is suitable for anyone who is physically fit—no mountaineering experience is required—but it’s designed for a minimum of two participants per booking. Our experienced guides communicate in English, French, Spanish, Arabic, and Berber to ensure a smooth and enjoyable adventure.
Pick-up from your hotel at 08:00 AM.
Drive to Imlil (1740 m / 5,700 ft), the starting point of your trek.
Begin your hike through small Berber villages and visit the shrine of Sidi Chamharouch.
Stop for a picnic lunch prepared by our cook.
Ascend toward the mountain hut (refuge) at 10,500 ft, where you can enjoy mint tea, hot shower, and rest.
Overnight at the refuge or in tents (summer months).
Early breakfast at 05:00 AM.
Begin ascent to the summit of Mount Toubkal at 05:30 AM; 4-hour climb including a short break.
Enjoy stunning panoramic views and photo opportunities from the highest peak in the Atlas Mountains.
Descend via the same route, stop for lunch at the hut, then hike back to Imlil.
Drive back to Marrakech in the evening.
